Mango Sherbert from Sugar Hemp Farms: A Tropical Paradise in Every Puff
Today, we're delving into the rich world of Mango Sherbert, an exquisite strain from Sugar Hemp Farms that's all set to transport you straight to a tropical paradise. The Mango Sherbert strain has an interesting lineage, being an indica-dominant cross between Mango Trees, Mango Kush, and Sherbert. This vibrant mix of parent strains explains the rich, tropical influence that Mango Sherbert boasts.
Visually, this Mango Sherbert is represented by dense, light green nugs that vary in size from small to medium. The buds of are very dense and tightly wound, testament to the strain's quality and consistency. It's noteworthy that no large nugs are present in this strain. The buds are tightly wound and covered in a thick layer of trichomes, with a few orange pistils peeking out from the surface.
To note, from my experience Mango Sherbert is officially bred by Humboldt Seed Company and typically grows fluffy resinous buds which is a slightly different result than what I'm seeing from Sugar Hemp Farms. I'm not sure if this is a different phenotype or if the strain was bred by Sugar Hemp Farms, but I'll be sure to update this post if I find out more. I'd also like to note that this package was was received without a terpene shield or humidity pack, which is a bit disappointing but not a deal breaker.
Cannabinoids
The strain has a total cannabinoids content of 24.21%, including 1.04% CBGA, 0.288% d9-THC, and a significant 24.2% THCa. This potent mix contributes to the strain's strong body buzz and the tingling sensation that's typically felt on the first rip.
Main Terpenes
The terpene profile of Mango Sherbert includes Limonene, Humulene, and Linalool. These terpenes contribute to the strain's unique flavor profile and may also play a role in the overall effects of the strain. The Limonene and Linalool terpenes are responsible for the strain's sweet, citrusy flavor and aroma, while the Humulene terpene provides a spicy, earthy undertone although I have to say for this particular batch the Humulene is not very pronounced.
Sensory Experience
The smoke of Mango Sherbert is thick yet smooth, with hints of sugary berries and fresh sweet mango coupled with a rich tropical overtone. Its taste and aroma follow the same enticing profile, augmented by a touch of earthiness. I was a bit surprised with how smooth the smoke feels on the throat, given the strain's high THC content and thick, milk-like smoke. I would possibly attribute this to the strain's high terpene content which provides that tropical flavor without the spice you'll usually find in other indica strains.
The strain fills the nose with a complex mix of berry and tropical scents, hints of skunk and gas, then wrapped up with an earthy undertone. As far as tropical/Mango Sherbert strains go, this is well bodied and has a rich, complex feel.
Cost and Value
This strain is priced at $8.93 per gram, bringing the total cost for 14 grams to $125.00. The price point is a good value for the aromatic and sensory experience this strain provides. It's also a good value for the strain's potency and effects.
Final Thoughts
With Mango Sherbert, Sugar Hemp Farms has created a tropical wonder that's both indulgent and invigorating. From its diverse and robust flavors and scents to the distinct and enjoyable effects it provides, this strain is sure to delight anyone looking for a unique and fulfilling cannabis experience.
It's a strain that performs well in several key areas, offering a unique and pleasant experience that's sure to satisfy even the most discerning cannabis connoisseur. Certain areas for improvement, in my opinion, would be the fluffiness and texture of the buds as this is a bit different than what I've seen from other Mango Sherbert strains. I'd also like to see a bit more of a tropical flavor profile, but this is a minor nitpick. On my rating scale, Mango Sherbert earns a respectable 4 of 5.
